Activity 2: Testing wood - What would happen if...?
Wood is an amazing resource that has been used throughout history to build many different things. Different types of wood have different properties and are used for different applications. For example, a willow tree’s branches are very flexible and can be used to weave baskets, bent to form a wheel of a medicine wheel and folded to make different toys out of wood. In this activity, you will be trying different ways of treating wood in order to change its properties for different uses.
